MIRI: BN candidate for Miri, Datuk Sebastian Ting, met up with the staff of Miri City Council (MCC) yesterday as part of his campaigning rounds.

He shook hands with the staff at their respective work stations accompanied by Mayor Lawrence Lai and MCC Secretary Leonard Lau.

Ting said his aim for the visit was to thank MCC staff for their cooperation over the past year and said they could count on him for support if he won Miri for BN tomorrow.

“The council has been doing commendable services for the people here and had become an exemplary city council in the country.

“One of my visions is to work together with the council and other authorities to establish more public parks here in line with the council’s greening programme,” Ting told The Borneo Post.

Ting is in a three-cornered fight with Dr Michael Teo from PKR and Chong Kon Fatt from State Reform Party (STAR).
