KUCHING: A bank officer lost several thousand ringgit in cash and valuables after returning home to discover his house at Jalan Matang had been broken into.
The 30-year-old told police he arrived at his house at Taman Sri Perkasa around 10.30pm on Thursday and saw the place had been ransacked by burglars.
Among the items stolen included RM500 in cash, gold jewellery, a digital camera, a wristwatch and a tablet computer.
Loss was estimated at more than RM8,000.
It is believed the burglars entered the house by forcing open a window in the kitchen.
Police are investigating.
