LABUAN: Member of parliament for Labuan, Rozman Datuk Isli said there were many things to be grateful about including his victory to retain the seat for the Barisan Nasional (BN).

Speaking at a thanksgiving event held at Papayas Beach Lodge, Nagalang, recently, he said it was time to work to ensure the BN manifesto here could be delivered well to the people.

“From the first day after winning in the election, we already started to work and we do hope our effort will run smoothly after this.

“The Community Service Centre has been set up at the ground floor of the Labuan Umno Office here.

“The centre will serve the people where all the complaints, proposals, and problems would be processed. All of them would be recorded for solution,” he said.

Rozman added that a capable team would serve at the centre and was responsible to collaborate with all the government departments and agencies here.

He said they would be committed to realise the BN manifesto here.

Meanwhile, Rozman disclosed that he had contacted the newly appointed Federal Territories Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor where the latter promised to give more attention to development in Labuan.

“I believe that he (Tengku Adnan) can help us to realise the vision and mission of Labuan. I did promise to Tengku Adnan to work with him. There are still many things that we need to do here.

“The important thing right now is we work together and we must play our own respective roles.

“Let us unite and focus on work as we work for what we believe in.

“I am not afraid to say that what the opposition (PKR) promised to the people of Labuan, we can achieve them in five to ten years,” he said.

Rozman said the people’s hope was high for him and for the BN and he could not afford to disappoint them.

“We will prove as what I used to speak in my campaign that Labuan will be a role-model of unity in this country. It is not only among the leaders, but also among the multi-racial society here to be the true 1Malaysia people,” he said.
