KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty-five birthday cakes were presented to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah in conjunction with his birthday celebration which falls on Saturday.

The cakes, contributed by various quarters, including hotels, were presented to the king at Istana Negara here. Also present was the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah

The cakes, in various shapes and with various themes, were contributed by The Zon Regency Hotel by The Sea, Johor Baharu; Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur, One World Hotel Petaling Jaya, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-La Hotel, Hotel UiTM Shah Alam, Palace Of The Golden Horses, Vivatel Kuala Lumpur, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur and Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

There were also cakes from Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur, Federal Hotels International, Royale Bintang Hotels & Resorts, YTL Hotels, Starwood Group, Grand Bluewave Hotel Shah Alam, Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur, Impiana KLCC Hotel and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The other contributors are Malaysia Airlines, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur, Grand Dorsett Subang, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur.

The cake presentation is an annual event in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday celebration. —Bernama
