SIBU: Sarawak Central Region Friendship Association (SCRFA) will hold the Cultural Embroidery Competition on July 6 in conjunction with the Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF).
“Entries will be accepted from now until June 20,” said SCRFA chairman Lai Chii Chuan, adding that Chinese school students were encouraged to participate.
He said the association had held similar competitions at every BCF with the objective of promoting Chinese arts.
“Although the participation at previous competitions was not that enthusiastic, we did achieve our purpose to a certain extent,” he told a press conference yesterday.
