MIRI: Miri City Council (MCC) recently obtained renewal of the certifi cation of ISO 9001: 2008 from Sirim QAS International.
Mayor Lawrence Lai disclosed the council’s Quality Management System, covering 10 core services of the city council, had previously acquired the ISO 9001:2008 on May 18, 2012.
The mayor congratulated the city council secretary, management and staff for meeting the certifi cation standards in carrying out their duties.
He also thanked councillors for their support, cooperation and understanding of these achievements.
Meanwhile, Miri City Council will be holding a meet-the-people-session on Friday, June 7 from 9am to 11am at the One Stop Centre at the council’s multistory car park building.
