The 75 outstanding students of Inti College Sabah.

KOTA KINABALU: Seventy-five outstanding students of Inti College Sabah (ICS) received their ICS Award during its presentation and Discovery Day at Sabah Trade Centre in Likas yesterday.

The awards ceremony acknowledged the hardwork and accomplishments of ICS’s high achieving graduate students and student leaders who performed as excellent role models that the schoolchildren could look up to and emulate.

Over 300 secondary school students who were invited to participate in the ICS Discover Day took the opportunity to witness the awards presentation ceremony.

ICS’s close industry partner, IOI Corporation was at hand to present the IOI Most Outstanding Student Award to deserving recipients from ICS School of Business and School of Hospitality.

The IOI Award is a testimony of the long-standing relationship between the institution and IOI Corporation, and industry recognition of ICS’s excellent track record in producing high quality students and employable graduates.

True to its name, ICS’s Discovery Day also presented an opportunity for the students to learn about many academic and career options available in business, accountancy and hospitality.

After the award presentation ceremony, an established and well-respected member of the international academic community with over 25 years of experience working with higher education institutions across the globe, Dr Malcolm Mclver, spoke on the unique business and accounting degree programme available at ICS.

Mclver spoke on the advantages of acquiring a prestigious degree from the United Kingdom’s leading business university without having to leave the country.

Meanwhile, operation supervisor of Inti International College Subang School of Hospitality, Gobien Selva spoke on the insight into dynamic hospitality education and industry.
