MIRI: A 15-year-old student was abducted by a stranger who dragged her into a car as she was handing him a pen and paper he asked for.

The incident occurred in Permjaya at about 6am on Monday.

According to sources, the girl was on her way to school with two female friends when a Proton Wira pulled over and the stranger said one of the car’s tyres had punctured.

The man pretended to ask for a handphone or coins to call his friends to come and repair the tyre.

As she did not have any handphone or coins, the man asked for a pen and paper.

The girl was handing the stranger the pen and paper when he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her inside the car which sped off, leaving her two friends behind.

According to sources, the girl was abandoned in an orchard after a few hours. It was believed the stranger had forced the girl to perform oral sex on him.

A police report was lodged at Lutong Police Station by the victim, accompanied by the school authority who informed her family.

Police sent the girl to Miri Hospital for a medical checkup.

Miri Police chief, ACP Mun Kock Keong, when contacted yesterday, confirmed having received the report which is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
