THE DAY AFTER: Scene of a section of Kampung Dato, Sibu.

ALL GONE: Some 100 houses reduced to ashes, cinders and stumps leaving over 600 people homeless.

 

MINISTER of Welfare, Women and Family Development Datuk Fatimah Abdullah paid a visit to scene at Kampung Dato, Sibu in the aftermath of the State’s worst fire in recent years to assess the situation as well as the kind of assistance needed to be channeled to the victims.

ASSISTANCE: Basic essentials, used clothing and bags of rice were handed out to victims.
