KOTA KINABALU: Integrity school students should be given the opportunity to participate in innovation competitions to enhance their talents, said Sabah education director Jame Alip.

He said this was necessary to prove that they also possessed skills and talents despite being perceived differently from mainstream students by the community.

“They have the potential and talents not only in the academic field but also in co-curriculum even though they are not as free as mainstream students,” he told a media conference at an excellence award presentation at the Central Prison Integrity School here yesterday.

According to him, 19 teachers were presently teaching at integrity schools in Sabah. — Bernama
