MIRI: A motorcyclist remains hospitalised after he was pinned under a vehicle after he crashed his motorcycle on Friday at Miri-Pujut road.
According to eye-witnesses, the motorcyclist and his pillion rider crashed their motorcycle at about 11pm near a shopping centre. This resulted in both of them falling in the middle of the road.
A vehicle coming from the same direction heading for the city centre then hit them.
Thankfully, the vehicle driver managed to brake in time but the rider was pinned under his car. The pillion rider was flung some few metres away due to the impact and landed by the roadside.
Other road users who witnessed the accident immediately pulled over their vehicles and helped to lift the car to free the victim.
“We heard the victim screaming in pain underneath the car,” said an eye-witness when met by thesundaypost.
An ambulance from Miri Hospital was summoned to the scene after receiving a distress call and both victims were sent to the hospital.
