KUCHING: The Sarawak ICT Expo 2013 will be back this Nov 1-3, and taking place at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) for the third time running.

It is organised by Kuching Computer Business Association (KCBA).

With over 50,000 visitors at last year’s event, it is the largest fair of its kind in Sarawak, reaffirming its status as a premium trade platform among the local ICT vendors and buyers.

The fair will have special perks for visitors, including a happy hour promotion, a crazy promotion on Friday where items will be going at unbelievably low prices, RM5 redemption vouchers clipped out of local papers and an auction.

“With the overwhelming response in last year’s event, we will continue to set up Special Products Zones to help buyers locate products to meet their specific needs,” said organising chairman Jong Fui Ming during a press conference cum launch of exhibition booth sales. Also present was KCBA chairman Lee Kim Seng.

These items include digital home audio and video, electronic gaming, modern home and home security system, home appliances and more, Jong pointed out.

Several other successful fringe events will also be back. Organisers will continue to stage the cyber games competition that was a ‘hit’ with young visitors last year.

For kind visitors while they are at BCCK, there will be a blood donation and organ donor sign-up, organised in collaboration with the Stampin Chapter of Malaysian Red Crescent.

The Sarawak ICT Expo 2013 will offer the latest electronics products at bargain price to please shoppers. To ensure success, organisers have placed a high budget on marketing the event to win the confidence of potential exhibitors and campaign for more visitors to come to the event.

The balloting for booth allocation is scheduled for Sept 11 starting at 2pm at the BCCK. Exhibitors who have not signed up for this year’s event are urged to contact the organisers as soon as possible.
