KUCHING: It was all about family at Krista Taman Centurion’s Sixth Anniversary celebration held on June 22 and 23 at Boulevard Shopping Mall here.

With the theme ‘We Are Turning 6’, this event attracted nearly 4,000 people.

It aimed to create quality time for parents to spend time with their children to bring home the message ‘Family is the Umbrella of Love’.

“We took the opportunity to channel contributions in cash and products to designated recipients through this event,” said kindergarten principal Vicky Chua.

“We are blessed with all the supportive Krista families who witnessed our journey since we started Krista Taman Centurion in Sept 2007. Because of you, we are who we are today.”

The anniversary celebration saw various activities organised for both the children and parents. They include a colouring contest (supported by AMBB), sushi-making class (supported by Ayam Brand and Rakutei), 60-second Interactive Games (supported by Dumex), Hot Wheels Competition and Doll Dress-designing Competition (both supported by Wondertoys).

In addition, there was a clown and magic show, Mini Olympic games, pizza-making class (supported by Tom’s Pizza), and Parent-child Look Alike Contest (supported by Snapture Graphic).

One of the main highlights was the ‘Indoor Mini Traffic Garden’, supported by Perodua and the kindergarten, for the young ones to learn road safety, general road signs, driving lesson and experience.

The event also arranged attractive programmes for families such as Nutrition Health Talk (supported by Dumex), Family Cooking Competition (by AMC), Pama Instant Noodle Eating Competition (supported by Sung Hoe Trading), Family Photo Studio (by Snapture Graphic) and Mini Exhibition of Exotic Animals (by QQ Aquatic).

The kindergarten has held community services nearly every year since it started in 2007.

It also raised RM50,000 through its charity event in 2012 ‘1heart2bless’ for four charities.

At the event’s launching in June, the kindergarten presented a donation of RM2,000 to Hope Place. They also presented RM1,000 to Youth Ablaze (Youth Ministry of Hope Kuching).

Chua took the opportunity to thank her dedicated staff, sponsors and suppliers, volunteers, family in Christ, business counterparts, friends and relatives for making the event a success.

Sponsors of the event were Krista Education Sdn Bhd, Boulevard Shopping Mall, Perodua, Ayam Brand, Hope Kuching, Dumex, AMC, Tom’s Pizza, Snapture Graphic, Wondertoys, Sushi King, Pureen, Raiya, AMBB (Tabuan Jaya Branch), Rakutei, QQ Aquatic, Cai Yi Dancing Costumes, De Jackie Inspirations, Glory Stationery Sdn Bhd and Banana Greetings.
