171 have testified in RCI hearing

KOTA KINABALU: The Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants in Sabah will resume its public hearing from July 15-19 and from July 22 to 25.

RCI secretary Dato Saripuddin Kasim, who announced this in a statement yesterday, said the proceedings at the Federal Court in the High Court Complex here will commence at 9am.

He said so far 171 witnesses had give their testimonies before the five-member panel chaired by former Chief Judge for Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Steve Shim Lip Kiong.

The panel has conducted eight proceedings since the RCI hearing started in January this year.
