SARIKEI: About 100 Primary Four to Six pupils and teachers of SJK (C) Kwang Chien attended a talk by the police on the dangers of drug abuse on Thursday.
Sergeant Mohd Alias and Sergeant Lee Ah Kiun from the District Anti-Narcotic Unit delivered their talk in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin respectively.
Mohd and Lee said it was important for children to know about the consequences of drug abuse so that they would not experiment with this social menace.
The policemen also set up an exhibition to educate those present about the tools used by drug addicts and the different types of dangerous drugs.
The talk was given at the school’s indoor stadium.
