KUALA LUMPUR: Wisma Putra yesterday confirmed that all Malaysians in Egypt are safe.
In a statement, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said Malaysians in Egypt should be in contact with the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo.

“The Embassy of Malaysia in Cairo has advised Malaysians in Egypt to abide by the security guidelines issued by the Egyptian authorities and the embassy’s instructions, including the curfew, as well as avoid conflict-ridden areas.
“Returning Malaysian students are advised to check and confirm with their respective universities whether there would be any change on the starting date of their academic year before flying back to Egypt,” he said. — Bernama
