Consumer squad ropes in 2,152 discount card trading partners

KUALA PILAH: A total of 2,152 companies have agreed to become trading partners to the Consumer Squad Dicount Card programme issued by the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry.

The minister, Datuk Hasan Malek, said the discount rate for the card, issued with the cooperation of Bank Rakyat, was agreed at between five and 60 per cent, following the terms and conditions set by the trading partners.

“The participation of the trading partners has been categorised into 13 areas such as automotive, sundry and health clinics,” he said here yesterday.

Hasan, who is also Kuala Pilah member of parliament, said among the trading partners who had joined the programme were FireFlyz, MPH Book Shop and Lost World of Tambun recreation centre.

He also handed over the cards to creative arts activists headed by Malaysian Artistes Association president Zed Zaidi. — Bernama
