Rajagobal urges Harimau Malaya to maintain performance

PETALING JAYA: The Harimau Malaya squad chief coach Datuk K Rajagobal urged his players, who were called for centralised training here since yesterday, to maintain their present performance.

Despite admitting that most of the players were experiencing fatigue after four matches in the Malaysia Cup campaign for 11 days, Rajagobal was confident that their performance would not drop.

“I am rather worried because most of the players who reported for training yesterday were rather tired because they had to play four matches within a short time.

“So, I will use the time available to revive their fitness,” he said when met after the squad’s training session at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya here today.

Touching on the injuries sustained by the squad, he said two Kelantanese players namely goal keeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat and Mohd Farisham Ismail who were injured had to be benched.

Their places would be filled by Kedah goal keeper, Abdul Hadi Hamid and ATM defender, Affize Faisal Mamat from the reserve squad. –BERNAMA
