KUCHING: Beauty pageant organiser Alaric Soh has lodged a police report against a newly set up blog, which is said to paint a bad picture of him.
Soh lodged the report at the Sungai Maong police station yesterday after he was informed of the blog’s existence.
Whoever is behind the blog is believed to have also hacked Soh’s email account and sent out emails promoting the blog.
When contacted yesterday, Soh said he has posted about the situation on his Facebook account and uploaded a photo of the police report to clarify things.
“Being involved in the organising of beauty pageant for 23 years, I have often been the subject of rumours. I would like to thank those who are concerned and worried about me, but I can assure you I am strong and I am okay,” he said.
In his Facebook posting, Soh said he is engaging a team of professional lawyers and investigators to work with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to trace the author of the blog, as well as those who copied, pasted and shared its content online.
He added that the police have assured him that they would do their best to investigate the case.
