RM38,437 goods in operation

KOTA KINABALU: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry office branch (PPDNKK Sabah) here has confiscated RM38,437.42 worth of goods during the Ops Harga (price check operation) which was held from July 6 to September 6.

The branch also collected RM32,700 in compounds during the same period.

Statistics provided by the branch showed that the state capital recorded the

highest number of cases at 71. A total of RM5,945 worth of goods were confiscated and RM4,800 in compounds was collected.

This was followed by Tuaran and Tawau, both with 45 cases each. However, only RM1,580 worth of goods were confiscated and RM4,100 in compounds was collected in Tuaran, while in Tawau, the amount of goods confiscated and compounds collected wereRM4,871 and RM4,800 respectively.

In Sandakan, 40 cases were recorded and RM2,730 worth of goods were confiscated followed by RM3,500 worth of compounds.

Other districts were Kudat (29 cases), Beaufort (27), Keningau (25), Lahad Datu (25) and Semporna (22).
