The winners comprised of the 30 students from Inti College Sabah that took part in the event held from 9am to 4pm yesterday. They will be representing the college at the Sabah Hospitality Fiesta scheduled to take place next month.

They were judged by Bunga Raya Island Resort and Spa sales manager Duncan Hong, senior Chef De Partie Adrian Onic, Chef De Partie Frindy Jaukit and Nexus Resort and Spa Karambunai banquet manager Stephen Gambut as well as ICS education counselor, Richard Spiji.

Meanwhile, ICS principal Dr Alan Lim said some of the former hospitality students from the college had been accepted to work at international resorts and hotels in Malaysia as well as abroad.

He anticipates that some would probably be heading to China as well since the hospitality industry in the republic is now booming.

“Some of our students have been selected to undergo training at these international establishments as they have excelled in their performance at the college,” he said.
