MIRI: Folk in Bario should identify products that can pull in more visitors now that MASwings has increased its flight frequency to that destination.

With more such products and more flights, the tourism sector in rural areas would prosper, said Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau.

“Hence, the need to identify tourism products so as to pull in more visitors to places in the interior,” he added.

Dennis was speaking at the launching ceremony of MASwing’s new aircraft ‘Viking Series 400’, a 19-seater, at the multipurpose hall in Bario on Monday.

MASwings chief executive officer Datuk Captain Mohd Nawawi Awang, Rurum Kelabit Sarawak deputy president Robert Ayu and community chiefs were also present to witness the prestigious occasion.
