KUCHING: Be focused and wary of your opponent’s threats. That is the message that Sarawak goalkeeper Sani Anuar Kamsani wants to share with his team mates for this Saturday’s second leg quarter-final clash with Sime Darby FC.
Quarter-finals, second leg

ATM vs S’pore Lions XII
PKNS vs Pahang
Saturday, Oct 5
Sarawak vs Sime Darby
Kelantan vs Johor DT
He also raised awareness on the importance of the away goals rule so they will do all they can to stop their opponents from scoring.
“Although we did not concede during the last match, we must know too that we must do all we can to ensure that victory is ours come this weekend,” he said.
Asked about their opponent’s playing style, the state custodian commented, “They love to supply the ball to their hitmen… but regardless if they play with same game plan this Saturday, we still have no choice but to win and go all the way to lift the Malaysia Cup.”
Sani reckoned that in-form Karlo Primorac will be the player that his team mates need to look out for. The Croatian striker is Sime Darby’s lethal weapon, having scored 28 goals in 31 appearances for his team so far.
His towering six feet two inch frame has proven to be a handful for many teams in the Premier League and Malaysia Cup facing Sime Darby FC this season.
Meanwhile, Sani has given a good account of himself in Sarawak’s successful campaign this year. His fine display for this season earned him a call-up to the national squad just last month.
Kick off for this Saturday’s match at Stadium Negeri is 8.15pm.
