SIBU: Sports carnivals play a very significant role as a platform for goodwill as workers come together towards a common goal.

Guest of honour Vincent Lau, the KTS Group of companies deputy managing director, stressed that their participation in the event would help develop a healthy mind and body.

“This will help us focus on quality of life and individual health. In this way, we build a happy family within us,” he said at the opening ceremony of the KTS Sports Carnival 2013 held at SMK Sacred Heart hall.

He also called on workers to act collectively towards achieving greater heights.

On the sporting events, he said safety should come first, adding this was also the work culture in the group.

Also present yesterday were organising chairperson Ana Wong, KTS Club president Peter Lau and KTS Club chairman Benny Lau.

A list of fun-packed exciting telematch events were held such as: hen lays egg relay, dizzy-dizzy relay, throw ping-pong relay, ping-pong shooting relay, pass ball relay, centipede heel to toe walking, scissors stone cloth finger guessing game and race against time.
