KUCHING: Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) hotels and resorts will bring back their popular school holiday packages from Nov 16 to Jan 1.
SEDC general manager Soedirman Aini said the corporation’s Tourism and Leisure Division will run the highly in demand packages to enable families to enjoy quality time together.
“Our aim is also to provide a good alternative for families to explore and experience the local tourism attractions in Kuching and Damai Beach during the long holidays through these packages, which are affordable yet exciting for the whole family,” he told a press conference yesterday.
The school holiday packages will be available at Damai Beach Resort, Grand Margherita Hotel, Riverside Majestic Hotel, Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) and Damai Golf and Country Club.
At Grand Margherita Hotel and Riverside Majestic Hotel, there will be a special two-day, one-night room rate for RM230 per room per night with complimentary breakfast for two adults and two children.
“The promotion at these two hotels is also inclusive of two complimentary bowling game vouchers and movie tickets, two complimentary tickets to SCV or a complimentary signature dish at Grand Margherita’s Meisan Restaurant while two children (aged 12 and below) eat for free with a minimum of two paying adults in a single receipt,” he said.
At Damai Beach Resort guests can enjoy a special two-day, one-night room rate of only RM230 per room per night (inclusive of government tax) and enjoy all facilities and recreation at the popular resort.
SCV will have a special ‘My Holiday and Family Holiday’ package comprising a two-day, one-night stay at the Bidayuh longhouse.
“This unique holiday experience priced at only RM538 for two adults and two children, is inclusive of meals (breakfast, lunch dinner and supper) as well as fun-filled activities such as village tour, cultural show and nature walk to the foothills of Mount Santubong.
“There is also an individual rate of RM132 per adult and RM117 for children aged 12 and below for this package,” said Soedirman.
Meanwhile, avid golfers can tee off every Tuesday at Damai Golf and Country Club during the special promotion period.
“Club members need only pay RM40 per person for the special ‘Unlimited Round of Golf’ promotion while non-members pay only RM80 per person and this promotion is inclusive of a buggy,” he said, adding that there is also the ‘Midweek Special’ rate of just RM69 (non-member) inclusive of green fees and buggy every Wednesday and Friday.
