KUCHING: Sarawak Football Fans Club (SFFC) president Peter Moni Selat has called on fans to renew their unwavering support for the Crocs when they face Pahang this weekend.

Speaking to The Borneo Post yesterday, he said this is a critical time to show their support as Sarawak makes another brave attempt to win the elusive Malaysia Cup.

“Sarawakian are passionate about their team and there’s no doubt about that. This is the crucial time to show our support as nothing is impossible in football,” he explained.

On behalf of the thousands of Sarawak fans, Peter said they believe the current Sarawak team has what it takes to win the coveted cup and they want the Crocs to know that they are behind the team through thick and thin.

Despite Sarawak having the advantage of playing the second leg at home, there are nay sayers downplaying the atmosphere at the Stadium Negeri on match days.

Peter said it is up to Sarawak fans to prove these doubters wrong. He added he is aware that a team like Pahang may be professional enough not to be overwhelmed by opposing fans. But he is keeping his fingers crossed that Oct 26 will be a day to be remembered.

Pahang will travel to Kuching this weekend with a two-goal cushion after defeating Sarawak 3-1 in the first leg held in Kuantan last Saturday.
