KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Chapter will be organising a blood and organ donation campaign from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Nov 2 and 3 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching in conjunction with the Sarawak ICT Expo 2013.

The campaign’s objective is to help save lives and to prevent blood shortage at the Blood Bank of Sarawak General Hospital.

There will be also a health awareness campaign on these two days, the chapter said through a press release yesterday.

Apart from that, a Children Colouring Competition themed ‘Save the Earth’ will be held from 2pm until 5pm daily.

The main objective of this competition is to enhance awareness of importance of saving the green earth for future generations.

The chapter also hoped that the younger generation would reflect and express their vision on saving the green earth through art.

The competition is divided into two categories. Category A is for children attending Year 1 and 3 and Category B, for those in Year 4 until 6.

The theme on Nov 2 will be ‘Save the Green Earth’ and on Non 3, ‘Protect our Earth, Love our Earth’. There will be 10 prizes for each category.

Those interested may call the chapter’s chairman of the Blood and Organ Donation Campaign Wendy at 0198182244.
