MIRI: Cambodia Beer and Foster’s Beer handed over a RM5,000 donation to Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) during a charity party held at ‘Beach Republic’ on Saturday.
Miri mayor Lawrence Lai witnessed the donation handing-over ceremony.
According to him, the charity party which showcased various entertainment encouraged public members to partake in donations as a way of giving back to society.
“At the same time, having Miri hosting more charity party events will enliven it into a vibrant city,” he added.
The party from 7pm until 2am featured live performances of artistes Amenik Mickey Mouse from Kuala Lumpur, Pinkys Xiner from Johor Baharu and also a special appearance of DJ Felah from Thailand.
About 100 crowds attended the charity party.
SCCS Miri chairperson Jocelyn Hee was present to receive the donation handed over by the organiser Wong Kai Ming.
