KOTA SAMARAHAN: A total of 100 participants from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) took part in the IP Run 2013 organised by the Centre of Technology Transfer and Consultancy (CTTC) recently.
Unimas deputy vice-chancellor (research and innovation) Prof Dr Peter Songan said the run was among activities planned in connection with the university’s Intellectual Property Day 2013.
A press statement from Unimas said this year’s theme is ‘IP: The New Source of Wealth Creation’.
It was explored during seminars and exhibitions of intellectual property.
Intellectual Property Day 2013 also paved the way for the university to expand its scope by providing an elective intellectual property course next February, said Peter.
He also stressed the importance of intellectual property which could become a generator of wealth.
