KUCHING: Iban singer Suzie Kay aims to broaden her fan base by including Malay and English songs in her next album scheduled for release in 2014.

Having made her breakthrough this year, Suzie who hails from Medamit, Limbang is now looking at wooing fans from outside the Iban-speaking audience.

“The new album, which hopefully will be released next year (2014), will still be in Iban but there will be one or two Malay and English songs included, as I attempt new things and try to win over new fans,” she said when met at her Christmas open house here recently.

Suzie held her open house for three days as she welcomed family, friends and fans to share the joys of the festive season with her.

She said it was her first time of holding open house on her own, as a way to thank  those who supported her career especially since the release of her debut album ‘Bala Nuan Nyadi Penanggur’ in February.

“Due to the success of the album, I have received a lot of offers to sing in functions and special events throughout Sarawak and even some events outside the state.

“The year, 2013, has been a very good year for me, and I hope I can maintain this success or achieve more in 2014,” she said.

On another matter, she also mentioned that she has now ventured into online business selling clothes, bags and shoes.

Known as the ‘Suzie Kay Collection’, the boutique is located at her house and customers can view the items on her Facebook page or inbox her.

Those who want to book her for singing engagements, or are interested in the boutique, can contact her at 014-5851181.
