IPOH: The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) will lodge a report at the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for an investigation to be done on the owner of Facebook page alleged to have ridiculed PTPTN by saying that the corporation would write off all its outstanding loans.

PTPTN chairman Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, who is also Lenggong member of Parliament, said the Facebook page owner had purposely ridiculed the loan repayment issue to tarnish the PTPTN’s image and reputation.

“PTPTN has never made such a decision because every policy concerning the corporation will be decided by the Cabinet,” he said to reporters after promoting the Lenggong Traditional Food Carnival at Perak Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) here yesterday.

He said the Facebook page using the name of “RajaNusantaragroup Empayar Langkasuka Nusantara” was found to have uploaded a letter ridiculing PTPTN and claiming that the corporation would write off all outstanding loans made as at 2013 on humanitarian grounds.

Shamsul Anuar also urged the owner to withdraw the letter from the page or face stern action. — Bernama
