SIBU: The Nangka branch of the Malaysian Ex-Servicemen Association (PBTM) is calling for support for the Warrior’s Day Fund.
Branch chairman Abang Mos Abang Tunggal said part of the fund would be used to buy wheelchairs for members of the association.
“We’re also supporting the education of our members’ children, particularly those members who had already passed on,” he added.
“We need at least RM600 per student every year while wheelchairs cost at least RM680 each,” he elaborated.
Abang Mos said the association also helps members’ families during their bereavement by giving RM1,000 to each family every year.
Urging the corporate sector, government agencies and private individuals to donate to the fund, he said they would get tax-exemption for their donations.
All cheques must be crossed and made payable to Persatuan Bekas Tentera Cawangan Nangka.
