National Craft Day 2014 from Feb 26-March 10 was launched by the Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

Held at Kompleks Kraf Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Conlay, it is participated by 500 craft producers including from India, Ireland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Poland, Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Rosmah in her speech said batik manufacturers should diversify the designs of their products so that they can infiltrate the international market.

“The Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation should seek advice from innovative designers from within and outside the country to produce batik designs that can compete in the international market.”
