GEORGE TOWN: Police have completed an investigation on a case of missing RM300,000 in cash from a money processing room at Bank Negara Malaysia here.
Penang CID chief SAC Mazlan Kesah said eight employees of a financial institution including a woman, were remanded and expected to be charged at the George Town court today.
“Their statements have been recorded. The investigation papers have been submitted to the office of the Deputy Public Prosecutor,” he said here, yesterday adding that no other arrests were made and the money has not been
found.
“Nonetheless, the police knows where the money is and what they did with it. Investigations also showed part of the money was spent, given to others and used to settle debts.” — Bernama
