Bandar Seri Begawan: The Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources through the Agriculture and Agrifood Department has identified the potential of a fern to be grown on a big scale, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.
A briefing was held for a group of business people on the production of the fern, scientifically known as Pteridophyte plant.
The briefing, among other things, focus on the ideal conditions of growing the type of ferns found abundant in the Sultanate. The plants are extremely diverse in habitat, and reproductive method is through spores and roots.
Some twenty two entrepreneurs and flower nursery owners attended the talk, given by the Head of the Ornamental Plants and Flowers, Dyg Farah Ani Hj Gapor, and a Horticulture Officer, Dr Maria Concapcion Iranzo Amat.
