KUCHING: Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from Tourism Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also Housing Minister, at the Astana here yesterday.
Abang Johari led an entourage of 16 committee members of Sri Aman Benak Festival 2014 to invite Taib to the festival as well as to officially declare open the Sri Simanggang Hotel on May 18.
During the visit, Assistant Rural Development Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, who is also Assistant Housing Minister and Simanggang assemblyman, handed over the programme for the Sri Aman Benak Festival to Taib.
Also present was Sri Aman Resident Jonathan Lugoh.
