LIMBANG: A pregnant pillion rider was killed while her husband and their daughter were badly injured in a road accident at KM24 Batu Danau Road, Paya Lakap Meritam on Friday.
Milawati Tuah, 30, was five months pregnant with her third child.
In the 3.30pm incident, Milawati died on the spot after the motorcycle ridden by her husband Mohd Izzuan Bujang, 34, collided with a car.
Mohd Izzuan broke his right leg and backbone, while four-year-old Balqis broke her right leg.
Limbang district police chief Supt Mohd Bukhori Saffai said the incident is believed to have occurred when Mohd Izzuan rode out of a junction and collided with the car.
The driver and all four passengers were not hurt.
A urine test has been taken from the driver and police are investigating.
