MIRI: Fifty-one firemen have successfully competed in the northern zone fire drill efficiency competition on Thursday.
The competition was held at the compound of Fire and Rescue Department station in Lopeng. Head of the station Law Poh Kiong was on hand to officiate at the function.
The firemen competed in four events, which started at 8.30am and ended about 1pm.
Zone 6 (Miri) emerged champion (Miri) while Zone 7 (Limbang and Lawas) came in second and Zone 5 (Bintulu) third.
Miri will represent the northern region zone in the state-level drill efficiency competition to be held in June this year.
