KUCHING: Thomson Reuters announced it has been given special Editor’s Awards at both the Singapore and Hong Kong WealthBriefingAsia Awards for its leading position as a data provider.

According to a press release, the awards recognise companies that have demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2013 in the private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities.

Thomson Reuters was awarded for its comprehensive real-time and historical financial data for private banks and wealth managers, offered through its financial markets desktop Thomson Reuters Eikon, Thomson Reuters Knowledge Direct and Lipper feeds, as well as Reuters news content.

Not only do these solutions cover multiple asset classes, but their flexibility and usability help clients deliver information across multiple venues and applications, connecting the wealth management community.

“We are delighted to have been given this special recognition for the depth and breadth of our data services in Asia,” said Sanjeev Chatrath, managing director for Asia, Financial & Risk, at Thomson Reuters.

“We are committed to offering our clients the most innovative solutions and insightful content to meet the needs of the wealth management community.”

“The WealthBriefingAsia awards recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with „independence,’integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords for the judging process,” said Stephen Harris, publisher of WealthBriefingAsia.

“We were impressed by Thomson Reuters sheer range of products available for the wealth management sector, and the linkage to the world’s largest news organization.”

These awards are further recognition of Thomson Reuters leading position as a provider of services to the Asian financial industry.

The company was recently named Trading & Reference Data Provider of the Year and Trading Platform of the Year by The Asian Banker, and Best Technology Provider for Islamic Banking by The Asset. It has also won multiple other awards for its global data provision in 2014.
