BINTULU: Haeril Karim scored a hat-trick to help Project Park B clinched the Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing Football Cup 2014 with a 6-0 trouncing of Legend United at Bintulu Stadium on Sunday.
The win in the final league match saw the team claim the challenge trophy with a total of 16 points.
Saiful Putra Abd Rahman, Darwan Yusof and Shahrir were the other scorers.
Project Park B dominated the game with two goals in the first half and another four in the second.
Legend United was on the defensive throughout the game which presented many scoring opportunities for their opponents. Project Park could have netted more goals with more precise finishing.
Tournament top scorer was Che Hazley from Twister with six goals.
Twister (13 points), AC Mayday (12 points) and Kababin (10 points) finished second, third and fourth respectively in the league.
The top four teams received RM2500, RM1200, RM700 and RM500 as cash prizes.
Prizes were presented by Bintulu MP’s political secretary Zaiedy Nor Abu Nasir. Also present was Bintulu Football Association president Duke Janteng.
A total of seven teams took part in the league including Jepak Baru United and Sungai Plan United.
