KENINGAU: Assistant Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Datuk Haji Sairin Karno hosted a breaking of fast event with Keningau Umno leaders and government officials at his family home at Kampung Tanah Merah here yesterday.
The event was attended by Liawan community development leader Sahanip Jamil, Keningau Wanita Umno chief Hajah Amelia Ajun, Keningau Umno Youth chief Nik Nadzri Nik Zawawi, Umno members and government officials.
At the event, Sairin presented contribution to 20 senior citizens from Kampung Tanah Merah and Pamalan scheme.
Meanwhile, in Tenom, the Wanita Umno chief there, Datuk Rahmahjan Sulaiman Khan, together with her committee members, handed over carpets, Yassin books , kurma and telukong to Al Mursyidah mosque in Kampung Mamaitom and Nurul Islamiah mosque in Kampung Pamilaan here under the Ziarah Ramadan program of the movement.
She also held a breaking of fast together with Muslims from both villages.
