SPDP supreme council member Anyi Ngau, who is Baram Member of Parliament, said SPDP members should continue to support the party fully as it is part of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

“We will make SPDP stronger and maintain our support for SPDP leaders as it is still part of the BN government in Sarawak and also at the federal level,” he said during an SPDP roadshow at Rumah Patrick Libau, Sungai Tanggap, Niah over the weekend.

“So every member of SPDP has to play a role in supporting the Barisan Nasional government. SPDP has always been strong with good and strong team members,” assured Anyi.

Meanwhile, Mas Gading Member of Parliament Anthony Nogeh Gumbek said SPDP members in his constituency are still loyal to the party.

“In my constituency, the people there have not resigned from SPDP but more want to join SPDP and not Teras. They are loyal to SPDP.

“Politics is not about individuals but for the people. I will continuously work to bring the people into SPDP with more development and improvements from all aspects,” he
said.

SPDP acting president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, who is Bintulu Member of Parliament, officiated at the event, while SPDP secretary general Datuk Nelson Balang Rining, SPDP youth chief Robert Ayu, SPDP women’s wing chief Datuk Chiew Yen Chew and Temenggong Wilson Atong Limping were among the over 2,000 members present.
