MIRI: Irked by a number of obscene messages posted by a former housemate, an unemployed woman finally decided to lodge a police report.
The victim shows the message her ex-housemate sent to one of their mutual friends.
According to the 25-year-old victim who requested anonymity when met at Miri Central Police Station (CPS) here yesterday, she started to receive the messages after graduating from a private university in Kuching in November 2012.
“We were housemates for about two-and-a-half years and I did not expect that from her. She was normal until I graduated and returned to Miri.
She had warned her former housemate not to send such messages to her anymore but it fell on deaf ears.
“I did not want to lodge a report as she was my friend and we were housemates. But she has used my name to send obscene messages to our mutual friends, which tarnished my reputation,” the victim said.
