KUCHING: Karaoke chain K11 has opened a new Plus outlet at ST3 Shopping Mall with themed and exclusive rooms, advanced karaoke systems and added touches of comfort.
Managing partner Fam Wee Chiang said K11’s third outlet has a distinctively different look and feel.
“This Plus outlet is more comfortable and crisp with modern and creative designs,” he said yesterday.
K11 Plus has 31 rooms including three theme rooms featuring Hello Kitty, Snoopy and Mickey, three club rooms — Silver, Gold and Platinum, and three executive rooms — VIP, VVIP and Suite.
“Here, rooms are equipped with great sound and visual systems and high-end wireless and touch screen karaoke system.
“The biggest Suite room can accommodate up to 30 people with a private toilet,” he said.
The Plus outlet also has a smartphone remote application, which can be downloaded by scanning the barcode provided to allow customers to control the karaoke system from their phones.
There is a comprehensive selection of songs in different languages including English, Mandarin, Malay, Thai, Korean and Japanese.
Fam added that K11 is looking to expand to Miri and Kota Kinabalu next year as well as Kuala Lumpur in the near future.
The first outlet at Jalan Pending opened with just 11 rooms giving rise to the name.
Due to popular demand, K11 opened its second outlet at the Hills Shopping Mall.
Charges vary with room packages and range from RM150 to RM200 for weekdays during off-peak periods (12 noon to 8pm) and RM180 to RM200 during peak periods (8pm to 2am) inclusive of a carton of beers or soft drinks.
The rate per head for off-peak periods is RM13 for weekdays and RM18 to RM20 on weekends while for the peak periods, the rates range from RM18 to RM32 depending on the day.
Themed rooms, which can fit 10 to 15 people, are available for RM280 inclusive of a carton of beers or RM250 for soft drinks during peak periods.
Customers can also join as members for RM30 annually for discounts.
K11 operates from 12pm to 2am daily.
