PETALING JAYA: The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) is analysing information obtained from various quarters pertaining to national unity to be made into an action plan.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup said the outcome of the analysis was expected to be ready by year’s end before it is presented to the cabinet.

“At present NUCC is making an analysis of the outcome from information gathered from various quarters such as non governmental organisations and professional groups.

“I was informed that it will then be presented to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and subsequently presented in the cabinet, hopefully by next year to become a blueprint for national unity,” he told reporters after officiating the #SaySomethingNice 2014 campaign here yesterday.

Kurup said among the aspects to be stressed in the action plan was national conciliation.

He said all quarters were urged to be involved in all national unity related programmes to enhance closer ties among the various races to ensure continual national harmony.

“For example this #SaySomethingNice campaign, when you say something nice, you feel nice and very happy,” he said.

The #SaySomethingNice campaign is organised by Zubedy (M) Sdn Bhd, a human resources development company that has expertise in human skills training.
