MIRI: The Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Senadin will hold a Spiritual Awakening Rally starting today.

BEM Senadin chairman and founder Andrew Mering said the rally tonight and tomorrow will be from 7pm to 10pm at the BEM Canada Hill Church.

The theme is “Build my home. Be filled with good things of God’s Holy Temple” from Psalms 65:4.

“The purpose of this rally is to create awareness among the people of the importance of God’s presence in people’s lives, in family life and in the community’s life. God’s presence brings divine protection, blessings, peace and joy to individual lives, family life and the community’s life,” he said yesterday.

“God’s presence is dearly needed in our nation in view of the current situation and circumstances prevailing today.”

The speaker will be Shinkinah Ministry multimedia head Rev Dr Marcus Rumampuk from Surabaya, Indonesia.

He will be accompanied by three gospel singers — including Indonesian Idol 2000 finalist Donna, who will conduct a Vocal Seminar on Monday (Sept 1) from 8am until 1 pm at BEM On the Rock.

The rally is free and open to the public, while the vocal seminar is open to all church Praise and Worship teams.
