The contribution, the third consecutive contribution to PGM, was presented by Naim’s senior director, Abang Hasni Abang Hasnan, to PGM Chairman, Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, recently.

Ahmad Sarji, in a press release, said, “We are delighted that Naim continuously supports our earnest efforts in promoting golf in Malaysia. Through these burgeoning competitions, we hope Malaysia will be able to produce professional players good enough to compete in the Olympics in Rio in 2016.”

Abang Hasni said Naim was all for developing sports as it wanted the state to become a destination for sports and healthy living.

“Tabung Amanah Naim has contributed generously towards sports development over the years. Besides golf, we have also supported sporting events
such as badminton, soccer, and bowling.

“We also believe in promoting healthy living in the fun way through sports. Sporting events can also inculcate the spirit of competition and teamwork among our youths, thereby nurturing personal development.”

Part of the PGM Tour since 2011 and jointly organised with the Asian Development Tour, the ‘PGM MNRB Sarawak Championship’ featured professional golfers from 22 countries.
