Regent bans subdistrict and village Head to issue SKT

TANJUNG, South Kalimantan: Regent Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani prohibit the subdistrict head, village head, village secretary in its territory to issue a registered-land certificates (SKT) in order to avoid misuse of land ownership by certain elements, Antaranews reported.

Regent Anang Syakhfiani declared it at Tanjung on Tuesday when opening land dissemination followed by 60 village officials included the village head, village secretary, village headman and secretary.

“Land conflict in Tabalong is currently a major issues that must be addressed so as not to cause social conflicts in society. Therefor sub-district and village officials do not issue SKT,” said Anang.

Anang realizes this condition triggered by increasingly high price of land on Earth of Saraba Kawa (nickname for Tabalong), because of that village chief or headman and sub-district head do not foul play in land issues.

“I also promise not to come into play in land issues because either vice regent, the district secretary and other officials will go along,” said Anang again.

Socialization of land by Board of Governance conducted from 16 to 18 September at the Aston Hotel Tanjung to provide understanding and insight into the relevant regulations on land, including the function of land papers.

The head of Board of Governance, Asli Yakin, said socialization is an effort by local government to reduce the potential for the emergence of conflict in land issues.
