KAPIT: Some 100 villagers attended an independence patriotism programme at the Kampung Baru community hall recently.
It was organised by the Kampung Baru village security and development committee and Angkatan Warisan Anak Sarawak (Awas) in collaboration with the Youth and Sports Department.
Organising chairman Zulaini Junaidi, who is Kampung Baru youth movement chairman, said the programme aimed to commemorate National Day and Malaysia Day.
The programme included the Jamilah dance by the youth of Kampung Baru and Kampung Muhibbah Bletih.
Among those present were assistant youth and sports officers Roger Danny and Jojo Tehan.
