KUCHING: The Dayak National Congress (DNC) will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on Oct 25 starting 9am at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) headquarters, Jalan Kumpang, off Jalan Ong Tiang Swee.

DNC deputy president Datuk John Tenewi Nuek said yesterday the notice for the meeting was served to all delegates on Sept 24 via social media.

Registration will start at 8am.

He said the AGM will discuss DNC’s financial performance and events organised for the year 2013 to 2014 as well as any significant issues relevant to DNC, and to propose and decide on any changes to its constitution.

The meeting will be followed by a fellowship dinner starting 6.30pm at the same venue for members from Sarawak, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia to socialise and network.

Tenewi said all heads of other Dayak non-governmental organisations will be invited to the fellowship dinner to celebrate DNC’s first anniversary.

“All Dayak Malaysian citizens are also invited to join DNC, while those who register to become members after Oct 20 or at the registration counter on Oct 25 shall be permitted to attend the meeting as observers,” he added.
